This Privacy Policy explains how Cineswipe ("Application"), developed and operated by developer Prudhvi Suraaj ("Service Provider"), collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the Application, you agree to this policy.

Who We Are

Cineswipe is an ad-free mobile app for discovering, tracking, and sharing movies and TV shows. The Service Provider is Prudhvi Suraaj, an independent developer. The Application uses Firebase as its backend and RevenueCat for subscription management.

What Data We Collect

Email address (required for account creation)
Display name, profile picture, region, language (optional, for personalization)
Analytics and crash data (collected via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics; analytics can be opted out in-app)
Subscription status and identifiers (managed via RevenueCat; no payment info is stored by us)

No Ads, No Direct Payment Info

Cineswipe is completely ad-free. We do not display third-party advertisements. All payments and subscriptions are handled by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. We do not store or process your credit card or payment information.

Subscriptions & Feature Caps

Pro subscriptions are optional and unlock extra features. All core features remain available to free users.
Cinebot (LLM) usage is capped for all users, regardless of subscription tier, to prevent abuse and ensure fair use.

Data Sharing

We may share your data with the following trusted third parties, solely to provide and improve the Application:

Firebase (authentication, analytics, crash reporting)
RevenueCat (subscription management)
App store providers (Apple, Google, for purchases)

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising purposes.

User Rights & Data Management

Access & Correction: You can view and update your profile information directly in the app.
Data Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data via the app. This process is immediate and irreversible. See our Account Deletion page for details.
Analytics Opt-Out: You can opt out of analytics tracking in the app settings.
Data Portability: You may request a copy of your data by contacting us at hey@gpsxtre.me or cineswipe@gpsxtre.me.
Limited Retention: Certain transactional records (e.g., app‑store purchase receipts) may be retained as required by Apple/Google or applicable law, even after account deletion.

Security

Your data is protected by Firebase’s security measures, including encryption at rest and in transit. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no system is 100% secure.

International Data Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed by Firebase on servers located in various countries. By using the Application, you consent to this international transfer as governed by Firebase’s policies.

Children’s Privacy

Cineswipe is not intended for children under 13. The app is rated 12+ on Google Play and 17+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us for immediate deletion.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You will be notified of changes via the app, our website, and our Discord server. Please review this policy regularly.
